I got this for my 10 year old and he is pleased with it. So that says something.
The first thing you should know it that this clock is small. About the size of a softball. I was expecting bigger, and was a little disappointed in that. Second, the 'nature sounds' are very fake. One is a coo-coo clock and one that's supposed to be water sound like a toilet flushing. For a 10 year old it's fine, for an adult looking for nature sounds, this isn't what you are looking for. The clock itself is a little more complicated to set than some, but not impossible. It does light up and changes colors when you push the buttons.
I'd say for a kid's first alarm clock this one is good, novel, fun. For anyone else, this isn't what you are looking for.

We have had some trouble with this clock because of the poorly written instructions. There are 6 buttons with no info on what they do. It took several tries to figure out what's what and we still have a hard time if the time or alarm settings need to be changed. It's a cute clock for a child IF you can figure the thing out.
